The 1591FEBK is the largest flange in this group, a black base for 1591E, 1591ES, 1591XXE and 1591XXES enclosures that need wall or shelf mounting. It is intended for electronics builders, OEM engineers and installers who need to surface-mount a small plastic enclosure cleanly. Compatible enclosure sizes are 1591E, 1591ES, 1591XXE and 1591XXES.
It is molded from fire retardant ABS plastic with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating and a satin texture finish. The flange measures 8.66 in (220 mm) long by 4.20 in (107 mm) wide. The part lists an IP54 rating. One flange is included.
The enclosure is glued to the flange with standard ABS cement, which is not included. The flange ends are raised on one side so the enclosure can be positioned easily while it is being glued. Once assembled, the unit is fixed through four molded countersunk holes, or strapped or hung with tie wraps through the oval hole in each side of the flange.
