The 1590ZGRP235BK takes the 255 x 250 mm footprint and adds a deep 66 mm lid, bringing assembled depth to 161 mm for taller components that need extra headroom above the mounting surface. It is a watertight, thick wall enclosure molded from black glass reinforced polyester with a smooth finish.
The enclosure body is 96 mm deep. The drawing gives inside dimensions of about 241.66 mm long, 236.37 mm wide and 148.80 mm high. A PC board up to 238 x 232 mm, or the 1590ZGRP234PL galvanized steel inner panel (sold separately), mounts on the molded-in internal shelf with M6x1 screws.
Because of the deeper lid, this model uses longer cover screws: spares are SC571-12, a 12 pack of stainless steel M6 - 1.0 x 70 mm screws. Four cover screws are included, captive once installed, with a recommended torque of 13.3-17.7 lbf.in (150-200 cN.m). The lid is gasketed with silicone sponge in two piece tongue and groove construction, and wall mounting holes are outside the gasket channel.
It is IP66 rated, NEMA 1, 4, 4X, 12 & 13 rated, certified to NEMA 4, 4X per UL 508A, cUL & UL listed under file E65324, UL94 V-0 and IK09 per IEC 62208 and IEC 62262. The recommended operating temperature is -40°C to +100°C; shipping weight is 7.5 lbs (3.40 kg).
