The 1590ZGRP161BK is a square, 160 mm-per-side enclosure for electricians and OEM designers who want a balanced footprint for a sealed PC board or inner-panel assembly. It is molded from black glass reinforced polyester in a heavy duty thick wall design with a smooth finish.
Its assembled depth is 90 mm: a 70 mm enclosure body plus a 20 mm lid. The drawing lists inside dimensions of about 145.90 mm long, 146.81 mm wide and 79.25 mm high. A PC board up to 142.5 x 142 mm, or the optional 1590ZGRP161PL galvanized steel inner panel, fastens to the molded-in internal shelf, which accepts M6x1 screws.
The two piece tongue and groove lid carries a silicone sponge gasket and self-captivated stainless steel screws. Four cover screws are included; the recommended torque is 13.3-17.7 lbf.in (150-200 cN.m). Wall mounting through holes are placed outside the gasket channel, and an optional 1427HKBK hinge kit is offered for the series.
