Hammond 1590Z166BK Black 360x160x90mm Diecast Aluminum Enclosure

The 1590Z166BK is the textured black painted version of the 1590Z166 diecast aluminum enclosure, measuring 14.17 in x 6.3 in x 3.54 in (360 mm x 160 mm x 90 mm). Tough powder paint covers the enclosure inside and out, giving integrators a dark finish on a large sealed housing for boards, supplies and wiring.

Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy with a 4.00 mm [0.16 in] average wall. The two-piece tongue and groove construction uses a replaceable one-piece silicone gasket, rated -40C to +150C (-40F to 302F), that is supplied loose. Four recessed stainless steel machine screws secure the lid into tapped holes; they are self-captivating and cut their threads the first time they are installed. Recommended cover screw torque is 15-17 lbf.in (150-170 cN.m).

Inside the 1590Z166BK measures 345.01 mm [13.58 in] by 144.70 mm [5.70 in] by 82.00 mm [3.23 in] deep, with a 20 mm (0.79 in) lid depth. The internal mounting shelf accepts the optional 1590Z166PL inner panel, with listed maximum P.C. board figures of 145 mm and 344.7 mm. It comes with box, lid, silicone gasket, 4 cover screws and 4 ground screws with washers. Blind through holes outside the gasket let you wall mount it without compromising the seal.

The enclosure is cUL and UL listed (file E65324) and has been independently tested to meet IP66, IP67 and IP68 as well as NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, with an impact rating of IK08 per IEC62262.
