Hammond 1590Z163GY Gray Deep 260x160x160mm Diecast Enclosure, IP68

The 1590Z163GY is the deep 260 x 160 x 160 mm (10.24 in x 6.31 in x 6.3 in) diecast aluminum enclosure finished in smooth gray RAL 7001 powder paint, inside and out. It gives panel builders and OEMs a neutral-colored, sealed metal housing with the extra depth to hold tall parts, relays or connectors. The drawing designates it Grey Enclosure - RAL7001 Gloss.

The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, with a 4.89 mm [0.19 in] average wall thickness. A replaceable one-piece silicone rubber gasket, rated -40C to +150C (-40F to 302F), seals the tongue and groove joint and is supplied loose. Four recessed stainless steel machine screws fasten the lid into tapped holes; they are self-captivating and thread on first installation, with a recommended torque of 15-17 lbf.in (150-170 cN.m).

Drawing inside dimensions are 246.48 mm [9.70 in] long, 147.01 mm [5.79 in] wide and 152.01 mm [5.98 in] deep, and lid depth is 20 mm (0.79 in). The internal mounting shelf accepts the optional 1590Z163PL steel inner panel; listed maximum P.C. board size is 243 mm by 146 mm. The 1590Z163GY comes with box, lid, silicone gasket, 4 cover screws and 4 ground screws with washers. Wall-mount holes are blind through holes outside the gasket.

The enclosure is cUL and UL listed (file E65324) and has been independently tested to meet IP66, IP67 and IP68 as well as NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, with an impact rating of IK08 per IEC62262. Customers should conduct their own testing to determine suitability for any specific application. RoHS and REACH compliant, packed in a bag, with a listed shipping weight of 4.63 lbs (2.10 kg).
