Hammond 1590Z163BK Black Deep 260x160x160mm Diecast Enclosure

The 1590Z163BK is the textured black painted version of the deep 1590Z163 diecast aluminum enclosure. It measures 10.24 in x 6.31 in x 6.3 in (260 mm x 160 mm x 160 mm) and is powder painted inside and out in textured black, suited to integrators who need a dark, sealed housing with extra depth for tall parts and wiring.

Construction is diecast aluminum alloy with an average wall thickness of 4.89 mm [0.19 in]. The tongue and groove joint seals with a replaceable one-piece silicone gasket rated -40C to +150C (-40F to 302F), supplied loose inside the box. Four recessed stainless steel machine screws hold the lid into tapped holes and are self-captivating, creating their threads on first installation; the recommended torque is 15-17 lbf.in (150-170 cN.m).

Inside, the drawing shows 246.48 mm [9.70 in] length, 147.01 mm [5.79 in] width and 152.01 mm [5.98 in] depth, with a 20 mm (0.79 in) lid depth. An internal mounting shelf accepts the optional 1590Z163PL inner panel, and the maximum P.C. board size is listed as 243 mm by 146 mm. Supplied with box, lid, silicone gasket, 4 cover screws and 4 ground screws with washers. Blind through mounting holes outside the gasket allow wall mounting.

The enclosure is cUL and UL listed (file E65324) and has been independently tested to meet IP66, IP67 and IP68 as well as NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, with an impact rating of IK08 per IEC62262.
