Hammond 1590Z145 200 x 100 mm Natural Diecast Aluminum Enclosure

The 1590Z145 is a 200 mm x 100 mm natural (unfinished) diecast aluminum enclosure in the 1590Z Type 4X/6P series. It gives electronics designers, panel builders and field technicians a rugged, watertight instrument housing with a mid-sized footprint and generous 80 mm total depth.

Like every 1590Z enclosure it uses two piece tongue and groove construction with a replaceable one piece silicone rubber gasket that is rated -40C to +150C (-40F to 302F) and is supplied loose inside the box. Four recessed stainless steel machine screws secure the lid into tapped holes; they are self-captivating and create threads on first installation, making the enclosure well suited to repetitive opening and closing.

The ordering table lists a 200 mm (7.87 in) length, 100 mm (3.94 in) width, 80 mm (3.15 in) total depth and 20 mm (0.79 in) lid depth; the part page gives the size as 7.87 x 3.94 x 3.19 in (200 x 100 x 81 mm). An internal mounting shelf supports the 1590Z145PL steel inner panel, and the drawing shows provision for an M4 grounding screw.

The 1590Z series is cUL and UL listed and independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 as well as NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13, with an IK08 impact rating per IEC62262. The 1590Z145 is RoHS and REACH compliant. Wall mounting uses blind through holes outside the gasket. Customers should conduct their own testing to determine suitability for any specific application.
