Hammond 1590Z110BK Black 80x75x52mm Shelfless IP68 Diecast Enclosure

The 1590Z110BK is an 80 x 75 x 52 mm heavy-duty diecast aluminum enclosure from the 1590Z Series without an internal mounting shelf. Dropping the shelf frees the floor of the box for a larger PC board, up to 68.5 x 63 mm, making it a practical choice for designers of compact sealed electronics.

The body is diecast aluminum alloy in two piece tongue and groove construction, with average wall thicknesses of 3.00 mm and 3.36 mm called out on the drawing. A replaceable one piece silicone rubber gasket (-40C to +150C) is supplied loose inside. Four recessed stainless steel machine screws fasten the lid into tapped M4 - 0.7 holes; they are self-captivating and create threads on first installation. Recommended cover screw torque is 6.6-8.8 lbf.in (75-100 cN.m).

The part page lists 75 x 80 x 52 mm (2.94 x 3.14 x 2.05 in); the ordering table gives 80 mm length, 75 mm width, 52 mm total depth and a 12 mm lid depth. Inside dimensions are approximately 70.51 mm long, 65.51 mm wide and 45.00 mm deep, and the box accepts M4 machine ground screws. The assembly includes box, lid, silicone gasket, 4 cover screws and 2 ground screws with washers. It shares replacement gasket 1590Z100G with the 1590Z100.

This version is powder painted inside and out in a tough textured black finish, identified by Hammond as “PAINTED BLACK TEXTURE”. It wall mounts through blind holes positioned outside the gasket protection.

The enclosure is IP68 rated, cUL and UL listed (file E65324), independently tested to IP66, IP67, IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, and carries IK08 impact protection per IEC62262. RoHS and REACH compliant.
