Hammond 1590Z100GY Gray 80x75x52mm IP68 Diecast Enclosure With Shelf

The 1590Z100GY is a compact 80 x 75 x 52 mm heavy-duty diecast aluminum enclosure from the 1590Z Series. It is the shelf-equipped version of this size, designed for OEM engineers and electronics builders housing a small PC board, up to 63.5 x 68.58 mm, in a sealed, rugged box.

The two piece tongue and groove body is diecast aluminum alloy with a 3.36 mm average wall. Its replaceable one piece silicone rubber gasket, rated -40C to +150C, is supplied loose inside the enclosure. Four recessed stainless steel machine screws secure the lid into tapped M4 - 0.7 holes; they are self-captivating and create their threads on first installation, so the lid tolerates repeated opening and closing. Recommended cover screw torque is 6.6-8.8 lbf.in (75-100 cN.m).

The part page lists the size as 75 x 80 x 52 mm (2.94 x 3.14 x 2.05 in); the ordering table gives an 80 mm length, 75 mm width, 52 mm total depth and 12 mm lid depth. Inside, the drawing shows roughly 70.51 mm length, 65.74 mm width and 45.00 mm depth. The internal mounting shelf accepts M4 machine ground screws and the optional steel inner panel 1590Z100PL. The assembly includes box, lid, silicone gasket, 4 cover screws and 2 ground screws with washers.

This version is powder painted inside and out in smooth gray (RAL 7001), listed on the drawing as Grey Enclosure - RAL7001 Gloss. Wall mounting is by blind through holes outside the gasket seal.

Ratings include IP68, NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13 (independently tested, along with IP66 and IP67), cUL and UL listing under file E65324 and IK08 impact per IEC62262. RoHS and REACH compliant.
