Hammond 1590Z062GY 98x64x34 mm Gray IP68 Diecast Aluminum Enclosure

The 1590Z062GY is the 98 mm x 64 mm x 34 mm 1590Z062 enclosure in gray RAL 7001. It gives panel builders and integrators a slim, sealed diecast aluminum box whose finish matches gray industrial hardware, for circuits and terminations that face water, dust or knocks.

The diecast aluminum alloy box and lid are powder painted inside and out; the drawing specifies Grey RAL7001 Gloss while the series describes smooth gray. A two-piece tongue and groove joint with a replaceable one-piece silicone rubber gasket seals the lid, and the gasket, rated -40C to +150C (-40F to 302F), is supplied loose. Average wall thickness is 3.01 mm [.12 in].

Size is 3.86 in (98 mm) long, 2.52 in (64 mm) wide and 1.34 in (34 mm) total depth, with a 0.35 in (9 mm) lid depth. Inside, the drawing lists 91.25 mm [3.59 in] length, 57.24 mm [2.25 in] width and 28.60 mm [1.13 in] depth. It has no internal mounting shelf.

The 1590Z062GY is rated IP68, NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13 and IK08 per IEC62262, and the series is cUL and UL listed. Four recessed stainless steel screws close the lid at 6.6-8.8 lbf.in (75-100 cN.m), and mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel. It ships shrink wrapped with 4 cover screws and 2 ground screws with washers, at 0.54 lbs (0.24 kg).
