Hammond 1590Z062 98x64x34 mm IP68 Diecast Aluminum Enclosure

The 1590Z062 is a 98 mm x 64 mm x 34 mm thick-wall diecast aluminum enclosure in natural finish from the 1590Z Type 4X/6P series. Its longer, narrow footprint suits OEM engineers and electricians housing slim circuit boards, terminal strips or cable splices that must stay sealed outdoors or in washdown areas.

The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy with a two-piece tongue and groove joint. A replaceable one-piece silicone rubber gasket rated -40C to +150C (-40F to 302F) ships loose inside the box, and four recessed stainless steel machine screws secure the lid into tapped holes. The drawing lists an average wall thickness of 3.01 mm [.12 in].

Per the series table, the 1590Z062 is 3.86 in (98 mm) long, 2.52 in (64 mm) wide and 1.34 in (34 mm) in total depth, with a 0.35 in (9 mm) lid depth. Inside, the drawing gives 91.25 mm [3.59 in] of length, 57.24 mm [2.25 in] of width and 28.60 mm [1.13 in] of depth. No internal mounting shelf is fitted. Ratings are IP68, NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13 and IK08 per IEC62262, and the series is cUL and UL listed. Blind through holes outside the gasket allow wall mounting, and the box accepts a #6 self-tapping ground screw. It ships shrink wrapped with 4 cover screws and 2 ground screws with washers, at 0.52 lbs (0.24 kg).
