The 1590YGASKET is the silicone gasket kit for the square 92 x 92 x 42 mm 1590Y diecast aluminum enclosures. Use it to upgrade a standard IP54 1590Y box to IP65, or to replace the gasket in a water-tight 1590WY model.
Each kit includes two pre-formed silicone gaskets with adhesive backing for easy installation. Because the gasket is applied to the lid, you can machine and/or paint the enclosure first and gasket it later. The gasket has a temperature rating of -40°C to 150°C (-40°F to 302°F).
The series ordering table lists the 1590YGASKET for every 1590Y configuration in natural and black: no-flange (1590Y, 1590WY), flanged lid (1590YFL, 1590WYFL) and flanged bottom plate (1590YF, 1590WYF), plus the BK equivalents of each.
The enclosure is designed to meet IP65 with a properly installed gasket and lid screws torqued to 25-30 cN.m (36-43 ozf.in). When converting a standard box to water-tight, also order stainless steel screws with O-ring (1590WMS100, or black 1590WMS100BK). The 1590YGASKET is packed in a bag, has a listed shipping weight of 0.01 lbs (0.00 kg), and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
