Hammond 1590YFL Square Flanged-Lid Diecast Aluminum Box, 92 mm

The 1590YFL is the square 1590Y diecast aluminum enclosure with a wall-mounting flange integrated into the lid, in natural aluminum. It gives installers and OEM designers a 92 x 92 x 42 mm housing that fixes to a wall or panel through the lid flange, with the box holding the electronics.

Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, tough yet easy to machine, and vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges. Lap joint construction where the lid meets the box protects against dust and splashing water. The part attributes list an IP rating of IP65; in the series ordering table the 1590YFL is the standard flanged-lid version, and the water-tight version supplied with a silicone gasket is 1590WYFL.

Nominal size is 3.62 in x 3.62 in x 1.65 in (92 mm x 92 mm x 42 mm). With the lid flange the drawing gives 122.20 mm [4.811 in] overall length, and overall height is 42.00 mm [1.654 in]. Inside the box there is 85.17 x 85.17 mm and 36.30 mm of height, for a P.C. board up to 84.17 x 84.17 mm.

The 1590YFL includes box, lid and four 6-32 UNC cover screws in factory-tapped holes (50-55 cN.m / 71-78 ozf.in recommended torque). The optional replacement gasket kit is 1590YGASKET. Shipping weight is 0.63 lbs (0.29 kg) in shrink wrap, and the part is RoHS and REACH compliant.
