Hammond 1590XGASKET Silicone IP65 Gasket Kit for 1590X/XX Enclosures

The 1590XGASKET is a replacement and upgrade gasket kit for the 145 x 121 mm 1590X and 1590XX diecast aluminum enclosures. Gaskets are already included with water-tight 1590 enclosures, but this kit lets you convert a standard IP54 box to IP65, or replace a worn gasket, without buying a new enclosure.

Each kit includes two pre-formed silicone gaskets with adhesive backing for easy installation. The gasket is applied to the lid, which means the enclosure can be machined and/or painted first and gasketed later. The silicone is rated for -40°C to 150°C (-40°F to 302°F).

The drawing, titled 1590X-XX GASKET, shows an outline of 144.91 mm [5.71 in] by 120.90 mm [4.76 in]. According to the series ordering table the 1590XGASKET fits the natural and black 1590X and 1590XX boxes, their flanged-lid and water-tight versions, and the coloured 1590XX models in cobalt blue, green, light gray, orange, purple, red and yellow.

IP65 is achieved with a properly installed gasket and lid screws torqued to 25-30 cN.m (36-43 ozf.in). When converting a standard enclosure to a water-tight box, also order the stainless steel screws with O-ring (1590WMS100 or black 1590WMS100BK). The kit is packed in a bag, weighs 0.02 lbs (0.01 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
