The 1590WYFL is the water-tight, flanged-lid version of the 1590Y diecast aluminum enclosure in a natural aluminum finish. The wall-mounting flange is integrated into the lid, so the housing can be fixed to a wall or panel while the box itself carries the electronics. It is aimed at electricians, OEM designers and integrators building compact devices that need protection against dust and liquids.
Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, which is tough yet easy to machine, and they meet at a lap joint. The unpainted version is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges. Designed to meet IP65, this water-tight model includes a silicone gasket supplied loose inside the enclosure; torque lid screws to 25-30 cN.m (36-43 ozf.in) with the gasket fitted.
Nominal size is 3.62 in x 3.62 in x 1.65 in (92 mm x 92 mm x 42 mm). Across the lid flange the drawing gives 122.20 mm [4.811 in] overall length and 42.00 mm [1.654 in] overall height. Inside, the box measures 85.17 x 85.17 mm with 36.30 mm inside height, and it accepts a P.C. board up to 84.17 x 84.17 mm.
Each 1590WYFL assembly includes box, lid and four 6-32 UNC cover screws in factory-tapped holes. It ships in shrink wrap at 0.63 lbs (0.29 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Order 1590YGASKET as a replacement gasket kit.
