The 1590WN1FBK combines the 1590N1 enclosure size, 4.77 x 2.58 x 1.57 in (121 x 66 x 40 mm), with a welded flanged bottom plate and a textured black powder-coat finish. It is the watertight version, designed to meet IP65, for anyone who needs a small, surface-mountable black aluminum housing for electronics.
The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, which is tough yet easy to machine, and this part has textured black polyester powder paint for a lasting finish, even after machining, with black screws included. Lap joint construction where lid and box meet helps keep out dust and splashing water, and the low side wall draft angle (2° or less) makes P.C. board mounting easier.
With the flange included, the overall length grows to 146.05 mm (5.750 in) and the overall height to 41.30 mm (1.626 in), leaving the lid free to open while the box stays mounted.
A silicone gasket is supplied with this liquid resistant enclosure, loose inside the box rather than pre-installed. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid and 4 cover screws (4X 6-32 UNC threads); recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in], or 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with the gasket. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant, and the enclosure can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing).
