The 1590WDF is a watertight diecast aluminum enclosure measuring 7.39 in x 4.7 in x 2.2 in (188 mm x 119 mm x 56 mm) with a welded, flanged bottom plate, for installers and OEM engineers who need a surface-mountable IP65 instrument housing. It is the water-tight version of the 1590DF, finished in natural aluminum.
Box and lid are made from diecast aluminum alloy, a rugged material that is tough yet easy to machine. This version adds a flanged bottom plate; the drawing notes the bottom flange is welded to the box, extending the overall length to 216.64 mm [8.529 in], with the flange holes 205.36 mm [8.085 in] apart. The natural aluminum finish is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges, and the alloy remains easy to machine. Low side wall draft angles (2° or less) make PC board mounting straightforward.
