The 1590WBBSFBK is the black textured version of the water-tight 1590BBSF, a deeper 1590BBS-size diecast aluminum enclosure with a flanged bottom plate. It is for OEM engineers, panel builders and integrators who want a painted metal housing that mounts from its base and is designed to meet IP65.
The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, and the bottom flange is welded. The black version is coated with tough polyester powder paint, giving a lasting finish even after machining, and black screws are included. Lap joint construction where lid and box meet protects against dust and splashing water, and the silicone gasket for this liquid-resistant version is supplied loose inside.
Nominal dimensions are 4.72 x 3.70 x 1.65 in (120 x 94 x 42 mm). The drawing shows 148.24 mm [5.836 in] across the flange, a 119.50 mm [4.705 in] x 94.00 mm [3.701 in] box body and an overall height of 43.60 mm [1.717 in].
