The 1590WBBSBK is the black textured, water-tight 1590BBS diecast aluminum enclosure without mounting flanges. It gives OEM engineers, integrators and instrument builders the deeper 1590BBS body in a painted finish, designed to meet IP65.
Construction is diecast aluminum alloy for box and lid, a material that is tough yet easy to machine. The black version is coated with tough polyester powder paint for a lasting finish, even after machining, and black screws are included to enhance appearance. Lap joint construction at the lid-to-box seam guards against dust and splashing water; the silicone gasket is included and supplied loose inside the enclosure.
The nominal size is 4.72 x 3.70 x 1.65 in (120 x 94 x 42 mm). Per the drawing, the enclosure is 119.50 mm [4.705 in] long, 94.00 mm [3.701 in] wide and 42.10 mm [1.657 in] high outside. Interior dimensions are 113.48 x 87.98 x 37.85 mm [4.468 x 3.464 x 1.490 in], and the maximum PC board is listed at 85.98 x 111.48 mm. Side walls have a draft of 2 degrees or less.
The 1590WBBSBK comes with box, lid and 4 cover screws for factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes. Recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]; with the gasket, use 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in]. Listed shipping weight is 0.31 lbs (0.14 kg), and the part is RoHS and REACH compliant.
