The 1590TFL is the flanged-lid version of the 1590T diecast aluminum enclosure in natural aluminum. The wall-mounting flange is integrated into the lid, so the lid is fixed to the mounting surface and the box closes onto it. It is a practical choice for OEM engineers and electronics builders who want a compact metal housing that mounts flat against a wall or panel.
Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, tough yet easy to machine. The unpainted natural aluminum version is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges. The lap joint where lid and box meet guards against dust and splashing water, and this standard version is designed to meet IP54.

Four cover screws thread into factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes; the recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in], or 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] when a gasket is fitted. The 1590TGASKET kit upgrades this box to IP65, and a water-tight 1590WTFL is also offered. The 1590TFL is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships in shrink wrap and weighs 0.68 lbs.
