Hammond 1590T 120x80x59mm Natural Diecast Aluminum Enclosure

The 1590T is a tall natural aluminum diecast aluminum box and lid from the 1590 Series, 4.72 x 3.15 x 2.32 in (120 x 80 x 59 mm). With 54.60 mm (2.150 in) of inside height on a modest footprint, it suits electronics builders, OEM engineers and integrators housing taller components such as connectors, transformers or stacked boards.

The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, tough yet easy to machine, and meet at a lap joint that protects against dust and splashing water. This standard version is designed to meet IP54. The natural version is unpainted and vibra finished to a smooth surface with no sharp edges.

Per the drawing, overall dimensions are 120.00 x 80.00 x 59.00 mm (4.724 x 3.150 x 2.323 in) and inside dimensions are 113.38 mm (4.464 in) long and 73.38 mm (2.889 in) wide. Maximum P.C. board values are listed as 72.38 mm (length) and 112.38 mm (width). Side walls have a draft angle of 2° or less, and the lid height is 0.16 in (4 mm).

Four 6-32 UNC cover screws are included and thread into factory-tapped holes, with recommended torque of 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in] (25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with a gasket). The 1590T has no mounting flanges; for IP65 choose the water-tight 1590WT or add the 1590TGASKET kit. RoHS and REACH compliant; ships shrink wrapped at 0.64 lbs (0.29 kg).
