The 1590KKFLBK is a black textured, low-profile diecast aluminum enclosure whose lid carries an integrated wall-mounting flange. Nominally 4.91 in x 4.91 in x 2.24 in (125 mm x 125 mm x 57 mm), it is designed for integrators and equipment builders who mount through the lid and want a finished black housing.
The drawing shows the flanged lid at 155.00 mm [6.102 in] overall, with mounting holes 140.00 mm [5.512 in] apart. The box itself is 124.80 mm [4.913 in] square and 57.00 mm [2.244 in] high, with 51.30 mm [2.020 in] of inside height; P.C. boards up to 116.38 mm square fit. The catalog description lists 4.92" x 4.92" x 2.10".
A tough polyester powder paint gives a lasting finish even after machining, with black screws included. The diecast aluminum alloy lid and box meet at a lap joint that protects against dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54. Side walls have a draft angle of 2° or less for easier board mounting.
Each 1590KKFLBK includes the box, lid and 4 cover screws in factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes (50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in] recommended). The 1590KGASKET kit upgrades it to IP65 with lid screws at 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in], and the water-tight equivalent is 1590WKKFLBK. RoHS and REACH compliant; shipping weight 0.99 lbs (0.45 kg), shrink wrapped.
