The 1590KKFL is the low-profile 125 mm x 125 mm x 57 mm (4.91 in x 4.91 in x 2.24 in) 1590 Series enclosure with a wall-mounting flange integrated into the lid. Mounting through the lid lets the box body face outward, a useful arrangement for installers and OEMs fixing electronics to walls, panels or equipment.
On the drawing, the flanged lid extends to 155.00 mm [6.102 in] overall with mounting holes spaced 140.00 mm [5.512 in] apart. The box is 124.80 mm [4.913 in] square and 57.00 mm [2.244 in] tall, with an inside width of 116.44 mm [4.584 in] and 51.30 mm [2.020 in] of inside height. The manufacturer lists a maximum P.C. board size of 116.38 mm x 116.38 mm and a catalog description of 4.92" x 4.92" x 2.10".
Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, tough but easy to machine, and this natural version is vibra finished with no sharp edges. The lap joint where lid and box meet protects against dust and splashing water, and the standard version is designed to meet IP54. A side wall draft angle of 2° or less aids PC board mounting.
Supplied as box, lid and 4 cover screws in factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes, with a recommended torque of 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]. For IP65, add the 1590KGASKET kit and torque to 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in], or choose the water-tight 1590WKKFL. RoHS and REACH compliant; 0.97 lbs (0.44 kg), shrink wrapped.
