The 1590HGASKET is a two-pack of pre-formed silicone gaskets for the small 1590H diecast aluminum enclosure, 2.09 in x 1.50 in x 1.22 in (53 mm x 38 mm x 31 mm) in the ordering table. It is intended for designers and technicians upgrading a standard IP54 1590H to IP65 protection, or replacing the gasket in one of the water-tight 1590WH versions, where the gasket is supplied loose inside the enclosure rather than pre-installed.
The ordering table lists it as the optional replacement gasket kit for 1590H and 1590HF, the water-tight 1590WH and 1590WHF, and the black versions 1590HBK, 1590HFBK, 1590WHBK and 1590WHFBK.
The gaskets have adhesive backing for easy installation and are applied to the lid. That means the enclosure can be machined and/or painted first and gasketed afterwards. The silicone is rated for -40°C to 150°C (-40°F to 302°F).
The enclosure is designed to meet IP65 with a properly installed gasket and lid screws torqued to 25-30 cN.m (36-43 ozf.in). The series notes also recommend ordering watertight stainless steel screws with O-ring when converting a standard enclosure. RoHS and REACH compliant, supplied in a bag, 0.01 lbs.
