The 1590GGASKET is a two-pack of pre-formed silicone gaskets that the ordering table assigns to both 100 mm x 50 mm enclosure sizes in the 1590 series: the 1590G (3.94 x 1.97 x 1.02 in / 100 x 50 x 26 mm) and the taller 1590G2 (3.94 x 1.97 x 1.22 in / 100 x 50 x 31 mm). It lets designers and integrators upgrade a standard IP54 box to IP65.
Compatible enclosures listed in the ordering table include:
- 1590G, 1590GFL, 1590GF and water-tight 1590WG, 1590WGFL, 1590WGF, plus BK black versions
- 1590G2, 1590G2FL, 1590G2F and water-tight 1590WG2, 1590WG2FL, 1590WG2F, plus BK black versions
- 1590G2 colour versions: 1590G2CB, 1590G2GR, 1590G2LG, 1590G2OR, 1590G2PR, 1590G2RD and 1590G2YL
Each gasket has adhesive backing for easy installation and is applied to the lid, so the enclosure can be machined and/or painted first and gasketed later. The silicone is rated from -40°C to 150°C (-40°F to 302°F).
The enclosure is designed to meet IP65 with the gasket properly installed and lid screws torqued to 25-30 cN.m (36-43 ozf.in). When converting a standard enclosure, remember the watertight stainless steel screws with O-ring. RoHS and REACH compliant; bagged, 0.02 lbs (0.01 kg).
