The 1590GFL is the flanged-lid version of the compact 1590G diecast aluminum enclosure, nominally 3.94 in x 1.97 in x 1 in (100 mm x 50 mm x 25 mm). Instead of a separate bottom plate, the wall-mounting flange is integrated into the lid, so the box can be fixed to a wall or panel with the lid side down. It suits electronics designers, installers and OEM teams building small instruments.
The drawing shows the flanged lid bringing overall length to 126.50 mm [4.980 in], with mounting holes on 113.00 mm [4.449 in] centres and an overall height of 25.50 mm [1.004 in]. Inside, the box measures 95.23 mm [3.749 in] long, 45.23 mm [1.781 in] wide and 20.70 mm [.815 in] high, and the maximum P.C. board is 94.23 x 44.23 mm.
Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, which machines easily. The natural finish is unpainted and vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges. Lap joint construction where lid and box meet protects against dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54. A side wall draft angle of 2° or less helps with board mounting.
The 1590GFL ships shrink wrapped with box, lid and four 6-32 UNC cover screws for its factory-tapped holes (recommended torque 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]). For IP65, specify 1590WGFL or add the 1590GGASKET kit. RoHS and REACH compliant, 0.25 lbs (0.11 kg).
