The 1590GF takes the compact 1590G diecast aluminum box, 3.94 in x 1.97 in x 1 in (100 mm x 50 mm x 25 mm), and adds a flanged bottom plate for surface or wall mounting. It is aimed at integrators and equipment builders who need a small instrument enclosure that bolts down securely.
Per the drawing, the bottom flange is welded, extending the overall length to 124.46 mm [4.900 in] and bringing overall height to 27.00 mm [1.063 in]. Mounting holes are 3.96 mm [.156 in] in diameter on 113.18 mm [4.456 in] centres. Inside, the box measures 95.23 mm [3.749 in] x 45.23 mm [1.781 in] with 21.00 mm [.827 in] of height, and the maximum P.C. board is 94.23 x 44.23 mm.
The body and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, easy to machine for cable glands or connectors. This natural version is unpainted and vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges. A lap joint between lid and box protects against dust and splashing water, and the standard enclosure is designed to meet IP54. Low side wall draft (2° or less) makes board mounting straightforward.
The 1590GF comes shrink wrapped with box, lid and four 6-32 UNC cover screws; recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]. For IP65 choose the 1590WGF water-tight version or add the 1590GGASKET kit. RoHS and REACH compliant, shipping weight 0.28 lbs (0.13 kg).
