The 1590GFBK is the textured black, bottom-flanged version of the 1590G diecast aluminum enclosure. Nominally 3.94 in x 1.97 in x 1 in (100 mm x 50 mm x 25 mm), it gives equipment builders, installers and OEM engineers a small, finished metal housing that can be screwed down to a wall, panel or chassis.
According to the drawing, the welded bottom flange makes the part 124.46 mm [4.900 in] long overall and 27.00 mm [1.063 in] high. Two mounting holes of 3.96 mm [.156 in] diameter sit on 113.18 mm [4.456 in] centres. The interior is 95.23 mm [3.749 in] long, 45.23 mm [1.781 in] wide and 21.00 mm [.827 in] high, accepting P.C. boards up to 94.23 x 44.23 mm.
Construction is diecast aluminum alloy, coated with a tough textured black polyester powder paint that keeps a lasting finish even after machining. Black screws are included for a consistent appearance. The lap joint where lid meets box protects against dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54. Side walls have a draft angle of 2° or less.
Each 1590GFBK ships shrink wrapped with box, lid and four 6-32 UNC cover screws, torqued at 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]. The water-tight black equivalent is 1590WGFBK; the 1590GGASKET kit also converts this box to IP65. RoHS and REACH compliant.
