The 1590DFBK is the textured black, flanged-bottom version of the 1590D diecast aluminum enclosure (listed as "1590DBK with flange"). Its nominal size is 188 x 119 x 56 mm (7.39 x 4.7 x 2.2 in), and the welded flange plate lets electronics builders and installers bolt the box directly to a surface.
Both box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy coated in tough polyester powder paint, a finish that lasts even after machining. Black screws are included to suit the finish. A lap joint where the lid meets the box protects against dust and splashing water, and this standard version is designed to meet IP54.

Six cover screws thread into factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes; recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m, or 25-30 cN.m with a gasket. The 1590EGASKET kit upgrades the 1590DFBK to IP65, with black stainless steel O-ring screws available as 1590WMS100BK; the factory-gasketed version is 1590WDFBK.
RoHS and REACH compliant and shrink wrapped. The factory can mill, drill and print the enclosure, and STEP or IGES models are available.
