The 1590BXF is the flanged-base version of the long 1590BX diecast aluminum enclosure, in natural finish. The flanged bottom plate lets installers and OEM engineers fasten the box down to a panel, wall or chassis while the lid comes off for access. The part page lists 10 x 2.76 x 1.95 in (254 x 70 x 50 mm).
Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, tough yet easy to machine, and the unpainted version is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges.

Side walls have a draft angle of 2 degrees or less for easy PC board mounting. Six 6-32 UNC cover screws thread into factory-tapped holes at 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]. The lap joint between lid and box protects against dust and splashing water, and the 1590BXF is designed to meet IP54. The water-tight version is 1590WBXF and the replacement gasket kit is 1590BXGASKET.
Shipping weight is 0.9 lbs (0.41 kg), shrink wrapped. RoHS and REACH compliant, with STEP and IGES models available.
