The 1590BX2FLBK is the black textured, flanged-lid version of the long and slim 1590BX2 diecast aluminum enclosure. With the mounting flange integrated into the lid, integrators and OEM engineers can fix the lid to a wall or panel and close the box onto it, while the painted finish suits visible installations. Part page size is 10 x 2.76 x 1.36 in (254 x 70 x 35 mm).
The diecast aluminum alloy box and lid are coated with a tough polyester powder paint that keeps a lasting finish even after machining, and black screws are included to enhance appearance.
The drawing shows 283.00 mm [11.142 in] overall length across the lid flange, 70.00 mm [2.756 in] width and 34.50 mm [1.358 in] overall height, with inside dimensions of 248.33 x 64.33 x 29.70 mm [9.777 x 2.533 x 1.169 in]. Side walls have a draft angle of 2 degrees or less for easy PC board mounting; maximum P.C. board figures are 62.33 mm and 246.33 mm.
Six 6-32 UNC cover screws thread into factory-tapped holes at 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]. The lap joint protects against dust and splashing water, and the 1590BX2FLBK is designed to meet IP54. The water-tight equivalent is 1590WBX2FLBK, and the replacement gasket kit for this size is 1590BXGASKET.
Shipping weight is 0.8 lbs (0.36 kg), shrink wrapped; RoHS and REACH compliant.
