The 1590BX2BK is the black textured version of the 1590BX2: a long, slim diecast aluminum enclosure with no mounting flanges. The part page lists 10 x 2.76 x 1.36 in (254 x 70 x 35 mm), giving OEM engineers and integrators a painted metal housing for long, flat circuit boards.
The diecast aluminum alloy box and lid are coated with a tough polyester powder paint for a lasting finish, even after machining, so holes and cut-outs can be added without an unfinished look. Black screws are included to enhance appearance.

A lap joint between lid and box protects against dust and splashing water, and the 1590BX2BK is designed to meet IP54. The water-tight version is 1590WBX2BK, and the replacement gasket kit for this size is 1590BXGASKET.
