The 1590BFL is a natural-finish diecast aluminum enclosure from the 1590 Series with a flanged lid, the version to choose when the lid itself should fasten to a wall, panel or machine frame. The part page size is 4.43 x 2.38 x 1.22 in (113 x 60 x 31 mm); with the lid flange included, the drawing shows an overall length of 138.00 mm [5.433 in].
Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy. This unpainted version is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges, and the material is tough yet easy to machine for connector, switch and cable-gland openings.

Side walls have a draft angle of 2 degrees or less for easy PC board mounting. The lid and box meet in a lap joint that protects against dust and splashing water, and the standard 1590BFL is designed to meet IP54. Four 6-32 UNC cover screws thread into factory-tapped holes; recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in].
For IP65 there is a water-tight version, 1590WBFL, or you can fit the 1590BGASKET kit after machining or painting. It ships shrink wrapped, weighs 0.34 lbs (0.15 kg), and is RoHS and REACH compliant, with STEP and IGES models available.
