Hammond 1590B3RD Red 116x77x38mm Painted Diecast Stomp Box

The 1590B3RD is a Red (RAL 3011) powder coated diecast aluminum enclosure from the 1590-STOMP range. Its 1590B3 body measures 4.57 in (116 mm) long, 3.03 in (77 mm) wide and 1.50 in (38 mm) high, wider than the 61 mm 1590B-size boxes and suited to stomp box manufacturers and experimenters building electronic instrument projects.

Both box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy that stays easy to drill and mill. Hammond applies a smooth glossy polyester powder coat at the factory, so the finish lasts even after machining and accepts labels or silk-screened graphics readily. The colour is matched to RAL 3011.

Per the drawing, overall size is 116.00 x 77.00 x 37.50 mm [4.567 x 3.031 x 1.476 in]. Inside, the box offers 110.67 mm of length, 71.67 mm of width and 33.50 mm of height, and the listed maximum PC board dimensions are 69.67 mm by 108.67 mm. Side walls have a draft angle of 2° or less for easy board mounting. Shipping weight is 0.5 lbs (0.23 kg).

The lap joint between box and lid guards against dust and splashing water to IP54. For IP65, fit the optional 1590B3GASKET gasket kit and water-tight screws. Each 1590B3RD includes the box, lid and 4 cover screws that thread into 6-32 UNC holes; tighten to 50-55 cN.m (25-30 cN.m when gasketed). It is RoHS and REACH compliant and packed in shrink wrap.
