The 158SA is a 1.0 henry DC reactor rated for 240 mA DC, housed in the smaller C6H mounting style for designs where chassis space is limited.
It is the compact alternative to the 158T: similar inductance and current, but in a 2.81 in C6H frame with a 0.5 lb catalogue weight instead of the 1.5 lb C10H part.
Electrically, the 158SA is specified at 1.0H ±15% with its inductance measured at the rated 240 mA DC. DC resistance is 41 ohms ±15% and the maximum operating voltage is 400 VDC. As with every choke in the 153-159 Series, it will show less inductance at slightly higher currents and more inductance at lower currents, so size it to the actual load current.
Construction follows the series' economical open-bracket channel mount, with leads at least 5 in long. Units are vacuum impregnated with polyurethane varnish for quiet operation and long life, and every unit is Hipot tested (100%) at 1,500 VAC. The part drawing adds manufactured using Class B (130°C) materials, black leads, an operating temperature of -40°C to 105°C and storage from -40°C to 85°C.
