The 159R is a 6 henry DC reactor rated for 200 mA DC and 500 VDC maximum operating voltage, for high voltage DC power supply filtering.
For 200 mA circuits it provides three times the inductance of the 2H 157R, using the C14H frame, with a listed DC resistance of 150 ohms.
Electrically, the 159R is specified at 6H ±15% with its inductance measured at the rated 200 mA DC. DC resistance is 150 ohms ±15% and the maximum operating voltage is 500 VDC. As with every choke in the 153-159 Series, it will show less inductance at slightly higher currents and more inductance at lower currents, so size it to the actual load current.
Construction follows the series' economical open-bracket channel mount, with leads at least 5 in long. Units are vacuum impregnated with polyurethane varnish for quiet operation and long life, and every unit is Hipot tested (100%) at 1,500 VAC.
