The 1589T6G1BKRF is a 1U horizontal rackmount power distribution unit that delivers single-phase 20A power inside standard 19-inch racks and cabinets. It carries six heavy-duty NEMA 5-20R receptacles rated 20A, 125VAC that accept both NEMA 5-15P and 5-20P equipment plugs, making it suited to IT, networking, AV, telecom, test and industrial equipment that draws more current than a typical 15A strip can support.

Power comes in through an attached 15 ft 12/3 SJT cord terminated in a straight-blade NEMA 5-20P plug, giving plenty of reach to a wall or floor receptacle without an extension. An integrated resettable circuit breaker helps protect against accidental electrical overload, and this version of the unit uses an illuminated power indicator (pilot light) rather than an on/off switch, so connected equipment stays live whenever branch power is present. If an on/off switch is preferred instead, the equivalent model in the series is 1589H6G1BKRF.

Construction is black painted steel front and back, finished in textured RAL9005 black powder coat that meets applicable GREENGUARD indoor air quality and RoHS requirements. Overall size is 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, and the unit weighs 4 lbs (1.81 kg) as shipped.
