Hammond 1589T6F1BKRFAM 1U 20A Rack PDU, 6 NEMA 5-20R Outlets, Ammeter

The 1589T6F1BKRFAM is a 1U horizontal rackmount power distribution unit that delivers 20A single-phase power to IT, networking, AV, telecom, test and industrial equipment installed in standard 19-inch racks and cabinets. It carries six heavy-duty NEMA 5-20R receptacles rated 20A, 125VAC that accept both NEMA 5-15P and 5-20P equipment plugs, plus a digital ammeter so the connected current load can be checked at a glance.

This version is the illuminated power indicator model (no on/off switch), so the unit shows operating status without a user-accessible switch. A resettable circuit breaker is built in to help protect against accidental electrical overload. Power is supplied through an attached 6 ft cord terminated in a NEMA 5-20P straight-blade plug; the series uses 12/3 SJT cord construction. The metering circuit uses a 0.37 in. high red LED digital ammeter with plus/minus 0.1A accuracy.

Construction is black painted steel front and back with the series' textured RAL9005 black powder coat finish, which meets applicable GREENGUARD indoor air quality and RoHS requirements. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, and shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg), so the PDU mounts directly into a single rack unit of 19-inch rail space.

The 1589T6F1BKRFAM is UL/cUL recognized to UL 1363 and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14 under UL File E166039 (the part drawing cites cURus recognition to UL1363 and CSA C22.2 No. 21-95), is TAA compliant for applicable U.S. federal procurement, and is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant. Operating temperature range for the series is -20 C to +60 C. This PDU does not include surge protection or a shielded cord.
