Hammond 1589T36C1 36-Inch 6-Outlet Vertical PDU, 20A L5-20P

The 1589T36C1 is a 36 in. long vertical basic PDU (power distribution outlet strip) rated 120VAC / 20A, built for server cabinets, wall mount cabinets, open frame racks, or horizontal mounting above a work bench. It suits IT and AV integrators, electricians, OEM engineers and facilities teams that need straightforward, listed power distribution inside an enclosure.

Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, giving a rugged but light weight assembly in a natural finish. The series ordering table lists six outlets for this length; the drawing shows six 20A/125V NEMA 5-20R heavy-duty black receptacles, 1 in. square and equally spaced over the length of the strip, with all outlets facing the front. Receptacle spacing is 127.00 mm [5.000 in] typical.

Overall assembly length is 926.39 mm [36.472 in] with a strip length of 919.48 mm [36.200 in], a 41.05 mm [1.616 in] profile and a 29.18 mm [1.149 in] depth dimension per the end view. Shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg). This "T" version uses a pilot light rather than an on/off switch and includes a resettable 20 Amp circuit breaker. Power is supplied through a heavy duty 12 gauge 12/3 SJT cord, 6 ft long, with an integral molded NEMA L5-20P locking plug suited to extreme temperature ranges; operating temperature is -20°C to +60°C.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with 1589T36C1; order P/N 1585CLIP for an additional hardware kit. Note that outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories — allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails for vertical mounting to the struts. The unit is UL/cUL Listed to UL1363 and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14, RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America.
