Hammond 1589H48C116 48-Inch 16-Outlet 20A Vertical Power Strip

The 1589H48C116 is a 48.00 in (1219 mm) vertical basic PDU built for IT, AV and facilities teams that need dense 120V power distribution inside a rack or cabinet. It provides 16 heavy-duty black NEMA 5-20R receptacles (single T-slot) rated for 20A, 125VAC service, all on the front face, plus an on/off rocker power switch and a resettable 20 Amp circuit breaker.

Construction is a low-profile, slim anodized aluminum extrusion case with ABS plastic ends, keeping the strip rugged but light weight. The finish is Natural; a black finish is available upon request. Receptacles are 1" square and equally spaced over the length of the power strip. Drawing dimensions show an overall assembly length of 1231.09 mm (48.468 in) with a body length of 1224.28 mm (48.200 in), a 41.05 mm (1.616 in) profile and 29.18 mm (1.149 in) depth detail from the end view. Shipping weight is 5 lbs (2.27 kg).

Power comes in through an integral molded-plug 6 ft heavy-duty 12 gauge cord (12/3 SJT, suited to extreme temperature ranges) terminated in a NEMA L5-20P locking plug. Operating temperature range is -20 degrees C to +60 degrees C. This model has no surge protection, no metering, no rotated outlets and is not hospital grade.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included; additional kits can be ordered as P/N 1585CLIP. Per the series notes, outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets because the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories \u2014 allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails for vertical mounting to the struts. The 1589H48C116 is UL Listed to UL1363 and CSA Certified (UL file E166039), RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America.
