Hammond 1588H12B1S 77" 12-Outlet Vertical Surge PDU, 15A

The 1588H12B1S is a vertical basic power distribution unit with surge protection, built for server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks. It carries 12 NEMA 5-15R outlets on a 77.00 in (1956 mm) strip, rated 125VAC, 60 Hz, 15 Amps, and ships with an integral 15 ft power cord terminated in a NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug. It suits IT, AV and facilities teams that need single-phase 120V distribution the full height of a tall cabinet.

The case is an anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, giving a low-profile slim design in a rugged, light weight assembly. Colour is natural. The 1 in square receptacles are equally spaced over the length of the strip, all 12 facing the front, with no rotated outlets. Front-panel controls include an on/off rocker switch, a resettable 15 Amp circuit breaker and a green surge indicator light that confirms the surge module is active.

Surge performance is rated at 1080 J maximum energy, with 25000 Amp rated MOVs for a total of 75,000 Amps of single pulse transient current, a Voltage Protection Rating (Vpr) of 500V in all three modes (L-N, L-G, N-G) and a Nominal Discharge Current (In) of 5kA. Voltage suppression at the outlet guards against transients from equipment on the strip. At the end of the surge module's useful life, internal protection disconnects the module and extinguishes the green light while maintaining power to the load, now unprotected.

Overall assembly length is 1967.79 mm (77.472 in). The heavy duty 14 gauge 14/3 SJT cord is specified for extreme temperature ranges. A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included; order P/N 1585CLIP for an additional hardware kit. The 1588H12B1S can also be installed horizontally above a work bench.
