Hammond 1587T11A1S 11-Outlet 70 in. Vertical Surge PDU, 15A

The 1587T11A1S is a vertical basic power distribution unit with surge protection, built for IT, AV and OEM installers who need to spread 11 NEMA 5-15R outlets down the full height of a cabinet or rack. All 11 receptacles face the front of the strip, are 1 in. square and are equally spaced over the length of the extrusion. This version is the pilot light model (no on/off switch), with a resettable 15 Amp circuit breaker and a green surge indicator light.

Construction is a low-profile anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, keeping the strip rugged but light. The strip length is 70.00 in (1778 mm), with an overall assembly length of 1789.89 mm [70.468 in] and a case height of 41.05 mm [1.616 in]. Shipping weight is 5 lbs (2.27 kg) and the finish colour is Natural.

Power comes in on an integral 6 ft heavy duty 14/3 SJT cord with a molded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug, rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 Amps. Surge performance is rated at 1080 Joules maximum energy, 25000 Amp MOVs for a total of 75,000 Amps single pulse transient current, a 500V Voltage Protection Rating in all three modes (L-N, L-G, N-G) and a Nominal Discharge Current of 5kA. The green indicator confirms the surge module is active; at the end of the module's useful life internal protection disconnects it and extinguishes the light while maintaining unprotected power to the load.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with the 1587T11A1S, so it can be installed in server cabinets, wall mount cabinets, open frame racks, or mounted horizontally above a work bench. Additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The unit is cULus Listed to UL 1449 and C22.2 No. 269.3-17 (Type 3 SPD) and to UL 1363 and C22.2 No. 308-18, TAA-compliant, RoHS compliant and manufactured in North America.
