Hammond 1587T10A1BK 70-Inch Vertical Power Strip, 10 Outlets, Black

The 1587T10A1BK is a 70-inch vertical basic PDU (power outlet strip) built for mounting inside racks and enclosures where several pieces of equipment need 120V single-phase power from a single branch circuit. With ten front-facing NEMA 5-15R receptacles spread over the length of the strip, it suits IT, AV, broadcast and OEM installations, and the same strip can be laid horizontally on a workbench.

Construction is a black painted aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, giving a low-profile slim body that is rugged yet lightweight. Receptacles are 1 inch square and equally spaced along the strip. A power indicator light (no on-off switch) shows the strip is live, and a resettable circuit breaker provides overcurrent protection.

The strip length is 70.00 in (1778 mm), with the drawing showing an overall assembly length of 1789.99 mm [70.472 in] and a body dimension of 1783.08 mm [70.200 in]. Shipping weight is 5 lbs (2.27 kg). Power comes from an integral 6 ft moulded cord with a NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug; the series uses heavy duty 14 gauge 14/3 SJT type cord rated for extreme temperature ranges. This model is rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 Amps, and is not surge protected.

Each outlet strip includes a mounting bracket kit with hardware; order P/N 1585CLIP for an additional hardware kit. 1587T10A1BK is UL Listed to UL1363 and CSA Certified to C22.2 (No. 21-95, 42-99) under UL file E166039, is cULus and TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant.
