The 1587H24D1 is a vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) from the 1585-6-7-8 Series, built for IT, AV, broadcast and OEM users who need a long run of standard 5-15R receptacles inside a rack or cabinet. It provides 24 front-facing NEMA 5-15R outlets across a 70 in (1778 mm) strip length, rated 15 amps at 125VAC, 60 Hz single-phase, and terminates in a 15 ft cord with a NEMA L5-15P locking plug for connections that will not pull free.
Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, keeping the unit rugged but lightweight in a Natural finish. Power is controlled by an on/off rocker switch, and a resettable circuit breaker is built into the strip. Receptacles are 1 in square and equally spaced over the length of the strip, and the heavy duty 14 gauge 14/3 SJT cord with integral moulded plug is suited to extreme temperature ranges.
Overall assembly length is 1789.89 mm (70.468 in), with the extrusion measuring 1783.08 mm (70.200 in). All 24 outlets are on the front face (none on the rear), and the unit is not surge protected, not metered and not hospital grade. It can also be used horizontally on a workbench.
A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with 1587H24D1; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The part is CSA Certified to C22.2 (No. 21-95, 42-99) and UL Listed to UL1363 under UL file E166039, is cULus and TAA-compliant, and is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant, with country of origin Canada.
