Hammond 1587H24A1 70-Inch Vertical Outlet Strip, 24 Outlets, 15A

The 1587H24A1 is a 70-inch vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) with 24 NEMA 5-15R receptacles, intended for mounting in the vertical channel of a rack or cabinet where a high outlet count is needed for switches, patch panels, media converters, amplifiers and other 120 V equipment. IT and AV integrators, electricians and facilities teams use it to distribute power the full height of an enclosure; the same strip can also be laid horizontally on a workbench.

Construction is a low-profile, rugged yet lightweight anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, supplied in a natural finish. The receptacles are 1 inch square and equally spaced along the length of the strip, with a typical 2.500 in (63.50 mm) spacing on this 70 in (1778 mm) model. Overall assembly length on the drawing is 70.467 in (1789.86 mm). All 24 outlets face the front; there are no rear outlets and no rotated outlets.

1587H24A1 is rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 amps and includes an on/off rocker switch plus a resettable 15 amp circuit breaker. Power comes from an integral 6 ft heavy-duty 14/3 SJT cord with a moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug suited to extreme temperature ranges. This version is not surge protected, not metered and not hospital grade; the cord is unshielded.
