Hammond 1585T16A1 48-Inch 16-Outlet Vertical Power Strip, 15A

The 1585T16A1 is a 48 in. vertical basic power distribution unit with 16 NEMA 5-15R outlets, rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 amps. It is built for IT, AV and electrical professionals who need to distribute 120 V single-phase power down the vertical rail of a rack or cabinet, and it can also be laid horizontally on a workbench.

Construction is a low-profile, slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, in a natural (unpainted aluminum) finish. All 16 receptacles face the front (none on the rear), are 1 in. square and are equally spaced along the length of the strip, so cords and wall-wart style plugs can be spread out across the full 48 in. of strip length. Assembly overall length measured from the drawing is 48.468 in. (1231.09 mm), and shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg).

This version of the strip uses a power indicator light rather than an on-off rocker switch, plus a resettable 15 amp circuit breaker for overcurrent protection. Power is supplied by a heavy duty 14/3 SJT cord, 6 ft long, with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug; the cord is unshielded. The 1585T16A1 is not surge protected, not metered and not hospital grade, and the outlets are not rotated.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with each outlet strip for vertical installation; additional hardware kits are available under P/N 1585CLIP. The 1585T16A1 is cULus recognized under UL File # E166039, UL Listed to UL1363, CSA Certified to C22.2 (No. 21-95, 42-99), RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA and TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in Canada.
