Hammond 1585T15B1 48-Inch 15-Outlet Vertical PDU, 15A Pilot Light

The 1585T15B1 is a 48-inch vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) with 15 NEMA 5-15R receptacles, rated 15 amps at 125VAC, 60 Hz. It is built for IT, AV and electrical installers who need straightforward, unswitched power distribution down the side of a rack or cabinet, and it can also be used horizontally on a workbench. This version has no on-off rocker switch; instead it carries a power indicator (pilot) light plus a resettable circuit breaker, so power stays live while still giving a visual confirmation and local overcurrent protection.

Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion in a natural finish, with ABS plastic end caps, making the unit rugged but lightweight at a 3.5 lb (1.59 kg) shipping weight. The 1" square receptacles are equally spaced over the length of the strip, at a typical 2.500 in (63.50 mm) pitch, with all 15 outlets on the front face and none on the rear. Overall length on the drawing is 48.200 in (1224.28 mm), with the strip nominally listed as 48.00 in (1219 mm).

Power comes from an integral 15 ft heavy-duty 14/3 SJT cord with a moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug, suited to extreme temperature ranges. A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included for vertical installation; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP.

The 1585T15B1 is cULus recognised under the series listings to UL 1363 and CSA C22.2, carries UL file E166039, and is TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA. It is RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant, and manufactured in North America (country of origin CA). This part has no surge protection, is not metered and is not hospital grade.
