Hammond 1585T15A1S 48-Inch 15-Outlet Vertical Surge PDU, 15A

The 1585T15A1S is a 48 in (1219 mm) vertical basic PDU with built-in surge protection, designed for IT, AV and electrical professionals who need clean, protected power distribution inside a rack or cabinet. It provides 15 NEMA 5-15R outlets on the front face, rated 125VAC, 60 Hz, 15 Amps, and includes a factory-installed 6 ft power cord with an integral molded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug.

Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, finished in Natural. Receptacles are 1 in square and equally spaced over the length of the strip, and the unit is fitted with a resettable 15 Amp circuit breaker. This version (the "T" suffix) has no on/off switch; instead it uses a power indicator (pilot) light, plus a separate green surge indicator light that confirms the surge module is active.

Surge performance is rated at 1080 J maximum energy, with 25000 Amp rated MOVs giving a total of 75,000 Amps of single-pulse transient current, a Voltage Protection Rating (Vpr) of 500V in all three modes (L-N, L-G, N-G), and a Nominal Discharge Current (In) of 5kA. If the surge module reaches the end of its useful life, internal protection disconnects it and extinguishes the green light while power to the load is maintained, now unprotected.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included, so the 1585T15A1S can be mounted vertically in server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks, or horizontally above a work bench. The unit is cULus Listed to UL 1449 & C22.2 No. 269.3-17 (Type 3 SPD) and UL 1363 & C22.2 No. 308-18, RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America.
