Hammond 1585H8B1 48-Inch 8-Outlet Vertical Power Strip, 15A

The 1585H8B1 is a 48-inch vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) with eight NEMA 5-15R receptacles, rated 15 amps at 125VAC, 60 Hz. It is intended for IT, AV and OEM users who need dependable single-phase power distribution down the vertical mounting rail of a rack or cabinet, and it can also be laid horizontally on a workbench.

Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps in a natural finish, keeping the strip rugged but lightweight. The receptacles are 1" square and equally spaced over the length of the strip, with all eight outlets facing the front and none on the rear. An on/off rocker switch and a resettable 15 Amp circuit breaker are built in, and this version is supplied without surge protection.

The strip length is 48.00 in (1219 mm), with the drawing showing an overall assembly length of 1231.19 mm [48.472 in] from the side view and 1224.28 mm [48.200 in] across the outlet face. Depth and height call-outs from the end view are 29.18 mm [1.149 in] and 41.05 mm [1.616 in]. Shipping weight is 4.5 lbs (2.04 kg).

Power comes from an integral 15 ft moulded cord — heavy duty 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT type for extreme temperature ranges — terminated in a NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug. The cord is unshielded. A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included for vertical installation; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP.
