Hammond 15851T6A1 18-Inch 6-Outlet Vertical Power Strip, 15A

The 15851T6A1 is an 18 in. long vertical basic PDU with six NEMA 5-15R outlets, rated 15 amps at 125VAC. It is intended for IT, AV and electrical installers who need straightforward, unmetered power distribution inside a rack or cabinet, and it can also be laid flat and used horizontally on a workbench.

The housing is a low-profile anodized aluminum extrusion in a natural finish with ABS plastic end caps, giving a rugged but lightweight assembly (shipping weight 2 lbs / 0.91 kg). All six receptacles face the front; there are no rear outlets and no rotated outlets. The receptacles are 1 in. square and are equally spaced over the length of the strip. This version is the pilot-light model: instead of a rocker switch it carries a power indicator light, plus a resettable 15 amp circuit breaker. The on-off switch equivalent in the same configuration is 15851H6A1.

Power comes from an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug on a 6 ft. heavy-duty 14 gauge 14/3 SJT cord rated for extreme temperature ranges. The cord is unshielded, and this model does not include surge protection or metering, and is not hospital grade.

Overall assembly length on the drawing is 456.49 mm [17.972 in] against a nominal 18.00 in (457 mm) strip length, so it suits short cabinet uprights and compact enclosures. A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with 15851T6A1; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The unit is UL/cUL Listed to UL1363 (UL file E166039), CSA Certified to C22.2 No. 21-95 and 42-99, RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, USMCA compliant and manufactured in North America.
